A Small Feature in Gray Magazine
In 2015 I was contacted by another great client of mine, the OPUS Hotel Vancouver to shoot the redesign of their aptly named OPUS bar just off the entrance of the hotel. The design was conceptualized by the very well known Vancouver designer Robert Bailey, who also styles most of the guest rooms and amenities in the hotel as well. The original design before the update was getting to be a touch dated and ownership felt that the hotel needed a chic space where guests could relax and have a drink before or after check-in, and that visually matched the artsy modern style of OPUS.
Gray Magazine reached out after photography and was looking to run a small featurette on the new space. I provided the editors with images from the shoot and the page above is what ran. It’s always nice to see work in print and their reproduction was exceptional. Below are two additional images that accompanied the series, one overall similar to above and another detail of the bar area itself.
It’s always a pleasure to work with the OPUS team and this shoot was no different. We wrapped in two days and came away with a great series of photographs. A big thanks to OPUS for helping facilitate a wonderfully smooth photoshoot and to the editors at Gray for picking up the editorial.
